Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will meet Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup final after shocking Mamelodi Sundowns 6-5 on penalties in their semi-final on Sunday.
The match at Loftus Versfeld had ended 0-0 after 90 minutes.
There were not many clear-cut chances created in the opening half as the sides went into the interval goalless.
Mamelodi Sundowns, who were the defending champions, had the better of the chances in the second half, but TTM’s defence and goalkeeper held firm.
The tie went to penalties and both sides netted their opening five shots.
However, Hlompho Kekana missed the sixth for the Brazilians and Thembisani Nevhulamba tucked home TTM’s sixth to send them into the final of South Africa’s premier cup competition.
The final is currently scheduled for 8 May.
