Democratic Alliance MP Dianne Kohler Barnard says the government needs to acknowledge the fear and danger, that rural communities live and work in.
There have been several farm attacks since the start of the lockdown, particularly heinous, with torture commonplace.
Kohler says the government needs to come up with plans to combat attacks and improve rural safety.
MPs discussed farm murders in Parliament on Tuesday.
African Christian Democratic Party leader, Kenneth Meshoe, is calling for the restoration of special rural safety units.
